Michelle Tea
Michelle Tea is the author of four memoirs, including the award-winning Valencia
(now being made into a feature-length film project) and the illustrated Rent Girl.
She has also published anthologies on class, fashion, feminism, and queer narrative;
the poetry collection The Beautiful, and the novel Rose of No Man's Land. She is
the founder and Executive Director of RADAR Productions, a literary non-profit that
hosts a monthly reading series, annual international performance tours, writing
retreats, chapbook contests, and book clubs. Tea is the editor of Sister Spit Books,
an imprint within City Lights. In 2013 McSweeneys will publish the first in a series
of Young Adult fantasy books, A Mermaid in Chelsea Creek.
